A Family of Faith on Mission
Discipleship TrainingWoodmont Baptist offers Discipleship Training classes on Sunday evenings and during the weeknights. These classes build and enhance a Christian’s daily walk and their understanding of the Christian life.
Continuous adult study groups provide background in doctrine, ethics, theology and history, effective witnessing, leadership training, family and parenting, finances, prayer life, Pastor’s new member class, counseling, and discipleship are among the various subjects which are regularly offered. Adult D.T. classes meet on Sunday evenings at 5:00 pm or 5:30 pm depending on the course being offered.
Special training for children (Preschool / Children’s Ministry) is provided during the school year through programs like AWANA on Wednesday nights from 6:00 – 7:30 pm.

Beth Moore Video Series on Wisdom – This 7 week series is entitled Wising Up – A Study in Proverbs. It is a continuation of the series offered in the spring with new material and lessons. Topics include Wisdom with Words, The Heart of Wisdom, The Wisdom of Restraint, A Call to Wise Up, A Wise Friend, and Wisdom to Go Your Own Way in Safety. Come join Beth and others for a cup of coffee and to learn from God’s Word and Beth’s insights on the wisdom from Proverbs. No workbook or homework required for this class. Sharon Thompson will be facilitating this class in room B-105 at 5:00 p.m..
Experiencing God – Knowing and Doing the Will of God – This video series features Henry Blackaby and Claude King sharing three major aspects of Knowing God: 1) Learn how to hear when God is speaking to you. 2) Find out where God is working and join Him. 3) Experience God doing through you what only God can do. This course requires a workbook with homework studies. Workbook cost is $15.00. Class will run for 13+ weeks with scheduling considerations for the holidays. Bill Rogers will facilitate this class at 5:00 p.m. in room A-102 (across from the library).
A Modern View of Revelation – This study is based on Dr. David Jeremiah’s book “Escape the Coming Night.” This class is not as detailed an analysis of Revelation as Ken Warnke’s “Prophecy Class.” It is an audio presentation with simple Q &A lesson plans for those who want to know more about Revelation. The class is facilitated by Chuck Covington and meets in room B-104 at 5:00 p.m.
Prophecy Class – This class is taught by Ken Warnke who has been studying and teaching prophecy for over 25 years. The class looks at Old and New Testament scripture and today’s newspaper to reveal and discuss the biblical clues to the fulfillment of prophecy. Class meets in room B-103 at 5:15 p.m.
Pre-teach – Pastor Jerry Rea teaches this class that reviews the upcoming Sunday School lesson for adult teachers and is open to anyone wanting to discuss in-depth the Bible lesson. Class meets in room B-106 at 5:00 p.m.
