Woodmont's youth vocal ensemble, SOUL DESIRE
IN CONCERT HERE JUNE 20, 6:30 P.M.
The music ministry provides numerous opportunities for service and growth.
- WOODMONT CHOIR
The Adult Choir sings in Sunday morning worship services and
presents several seasonal productions throughout the year.
Rehearsal: Wednesdays at 7:15 pm in the Choir Room.
- WOODMONT ORCHESTRA
This group of musicians enhances our worship every Sunday morning and at Christmas.
Rehearsal: Wednesdays at 7:15 pm in the Worship Center.
- MAGNIFICATION TEAMS
Woodmont’s own praise teams and praise band lead worship on Sunday mornings and Sunday nights, as well as presenting special praise and worship events during the year.
- YOUTH CHOIR
For students, grades 7 – 12, this choir assists in worship during Sunday evening services and presents an annual dinner theatre. Rehearsal: Sundays at 5 pm in the Choir Room.
- SOUL DESIRE
A select youth ensemble for students grades 9 – 12, this group tours in the summer and accepts invitations to sing at other churches, youth gatherings, community events, etc. Auditions are held each fall. Rehearsal: Sundays at 4 pm in the Choir Room.
- GRADED KIDS’ CHOIRS
The Kids' Choirs meet weekly to train the church musicians of tomorrow. Rehearsal: Sundays at 5:00 - 6:15 pm. Kids' Choirs conclude each evening with a light snack supper served in Room 10.
- ENSEMBLES
Currently Woodmont has a men’s quartet, a ladies’ quartet, and a ladies’ trio that sing regularly. The music ministry welcomes the establishing of vocal ensembles for worship.
If you are not musical, but would still like to be involved in the Music Ministry, opportunities abound in the following areas: acting, narrating, sewing costumes, designing and creating praise banners, choreographing, working backstage, working with sound and/or lights, and operating visual media.
GOD HAS BLESSED WOODMONT BAPTIST CHURCH WITH MANY GIFTED AND DEDICATED MUSICIANS AND VOCALISTS.
