is available in voice, piano, flute, guitar, violin, viola, cello, and string bass. Monthly cost for private instruction is $60 per 4 half-hour lessons. Lesson times are scheduled upon registration at a mutually agreeable time between instructor and student. Instruction in other instruments may be available. Just ask--we will try to accomodate you.
When your registration form is received, or you register over the phone, your name will be given to one of our instructors who will contact you within two days for scheduling.
CLASSES All classes are offered on a “demand basis” and must have a minimum of 5 students.
MUSIC
Voice Class (adults/teens)
Description: A 12-16 week course, specifically designed for the church soloist, that introduces foundational principles and concepts of singing. Students will be taught proper vocal technique as well as useful tips for voice maintenance. This class provides the opportunity for each singer to prepare songs and perform weekly for critique.

Meeting time: Mon 7:30-8:30 p.m. or Thurs 7:30-8:30 p.m.

DRAMA
Creative Dramatics (ages 6-12)
Description: Introduce your child to theater arts in a fun and exciting way! Using your child's own imagination and creative play, our weekly classes will provide an overview of theater skills like projection, improvisation, and basic stage movement using stories, poems, and music for inspiration. Each week the children will embark on a different theater adventure leading to the creation of their own little drama while building confidence, making friends, and having fun.

Let’s Pretend (ages 3-5)
Description: Our youngest students have a class designed especially for them! Students will develop their oral language skills and flex their creative muscles in a playful atmosphere that will include dress-up and creative movement activities. Students create stories, act them out, and learn the proper technique of performing.

Meeting time: Mon 5:15 - 5:45 p.m.
Monthly cost: $40
Stage Acting for Teens & ‘Tweens (ages 10+)
Description: This class introduces actors to the vocabulary and tools of the actor. Special focus is placed on developing voice and diction, character development, pantomime, body awareness, and beginning improvisation skills. This more advanced class focuses on monologue development and audition preparation, as well as partnered scene work.

ART
Children’s Art Class, Grades 2-6
Description: This class will teach the basic elements and principles of art and explore many different types of media. Students will also gain some art appreciation as they look at famous artists and their work. There is a 1-time supply fee of $5.

Monthly cost: $40
Calligraphy Crash Course (Adults and high school students)
Description: Introduction to a very basic form of lettering that may be used for invitations, announcements, poetry, place cards, etc. Students will need to provide minimal supplies.

Duration: 6 weeks
Cost: $45
Art for Adults & Teens
Description: Drawing and painting for adults and high school students. Ten-student maximum.
Instructor: Jerry Foster
Meeting time: Tuesday 5:00-6:30 p.m.

Introduction to Digital Photography
Description: A 4-week course on the basics of digital photography and composition for adults and high school sutdents.

WAFA Fees:
Registration fee: $20 (1 time, non-refundable--*see note below)
Private lessons: $60 per month (30 min.)
Voice class: $40 per month (60 min.)
Adult Art: $60 per month (90 min. class)
Children’s Art class: $40 per month (60 min. class)
Drama classes: $30 (60 min.)
*Those enrolling in classes will pay a $20 initial registration fee. Each subsequent year, in the fall, an additional registration fee of $10 will be required for returning students. This fee is per student, not per class; one fee applies to multiple classes. Private students will not be charged additional registration fees unless they wish to return after discontinuing lessons for six weeks or longer, in which case they will be charged a return fee of $10.
*Family Discount: The registration fee decreases by $5 for every member of the same immediate family, but with a $10 minimum. (Example: 1st family member, $20; 2nd member, $15; all other members, $10)
